How to Use a Paper Punch with Fimo
A few things may appear to be quite impossible to us, but that is not the case at all. There is almost everything possible in this world, but you just need to be aware of the technique and must have the resources. Some tasks will definitely require you to invest a lot, so they might not be possible. However, there are many smaller things, which can be done at home by following simple guidelines.
One of these processes is using a paper punch with fimo. We are aware of what a paper punch is used for, but some of us might not know what exactly does the latter word mean. Well, it is actually a brand name for polymer clay, which is used for making jewellery, buttons and several other accessories. It comes in different colours and you can choose whichever you like.
Some of you might be wondering how to use clay in jewellery and stuff like that. It is not a complex process and you just have to spend a little time to make this happen. Fimo comes in soft mode, so you can shape it as you like. Once you have done your craftsmanship, you can then bake the clay in the oven, and it will become hard as a rock. It is not easy to break, so you shouldn’t worry at all.
Let’s say you are making buttons with fimo and need to paper punch it. It is one of the easiest things to do and even a toddler can perform this task, if given proper guidance.

1
Choose the Fimo colours
Since this material is available in different colours, you can choose the ones you like. At times, you will not find the right matching buttons for your kid’s sweater. So, you can make them at home using a paper punch and fimo. -
2
Choose the paper punch design
We don’t use the punch only for paper anymore, so there are many other designs available. Search the best ones and make sure they are not large in size, so that they can be handled easily. -
3
Make sure the fimo is not thicker
Before using the paper punch, make sure that the fimo is not thicker than one millimetre. Once you get the desired result, you can get interesting shapes with a punch. -
4
Drop the fimo into the punch
Hold the paper punch in one hand and fimo in the other. Now, drop the latter into the punch and press it to get your desired product.
