First of all, you need to buy a map of London. You can buy it from any store or you can simply download it from the internet to your computer or phone to take out its prints. You should take a map which has the maximum information on it regarding the places and bus network. However, if you can’t get a map in which the bus network has been drawn, you can just go for a simple map of the city.

After reaching London, you have to buy a Travel Card which is available at the Underground (Tube) stations. You must know that the card will be available after 9 O’clock in the morning. If you want to buy the card before 9 O’clock in the morning, you will have to pay double price for it. With the Travel card, you will be able to travel on all the buses and Tube trains in London. Besides, if you are planning to stay for a week or more, you can get an Oyster Card.

Now, you have to search a bus stop. The bus stops are clearly marked on the roads and there are maps on each bus stop showing the destinations of the bus of that route.

You should look for your destination in that map and take your bus after it. You will see a large post which contains all the numbers of the buses and a line which points out the directions for your destination.

Before entering the bus, you will have to check with the driver by just showing your card. If you don’t have the Travel card, you will have to buy the ticket.
