How to Use Mineral Oil to Treat Constipation in Dogs

Put in Your Dog’s Food
The best thing you can do is, add some mineral oil to your dog’s food and mix well, using a gloved hand or a disposable ladle. Now present it to your dog. We hope that he/she will have it. -

Let Your Dog Lick it
If your dog didn’t accept the food, then take advantage of your companionship with him/her and present it yourself. What you can do is, add few drops of mineral oil to your palm or fingertips and let your dog lick it. -

Bring a Syringe into Use
In case if your dog still does not consume the mineral oil from your hand, bring a clean syringe into action. Add some mineral oil to a new syringe and pour it into your dog’s mouth, keeping his/her mouth open with someone’s help or your other hand. -

Eye dropper Works!
If all of the above techniques fail, pour few drops of mineral oil into an eye dropper and inject it into your dog’s rectum through his/her anus.
