How to Use Nutmeg to Treat Blackheads

Blackheads are one of the most common skin issues that can turn into malicious pimples if not treated properly. Face area remains the main target of blackheads and are therefore clearly visible to others. There are many anti blackhead products commercially available, but they do not provide with the proper results as their chemical ingredients can turn the blackhead into worse acne. They just claim to be effective in their war of advertisement competition but are not that effective when it comes to the output. Rather than wasting your money and time in experimenting with those products, why don’t you consider natural products like Nutmeg. You will be aware of its uses as a flavoring agent, medieval cuisine, medicinal ingredient and a preventive agent, but you might not know that it one of the best home remedies for blackheads. It keeps your skin clean and overcome the excessive production of oils that is the root cause of blackheads. You can use it in various ways to exfoliate your skin in order to overcome the blackheads’ issue.

    Nutmeg Paste

    Nutmeg paste is a natural treatment to provide you with soothing effect to overcome blackheads naturally. Place some nutmeg powder in a small bowl and top with some water or pure milk. Now blend it until it forms a smooth paste. Dab the blackheads with this nutmeg paste and leave until dry. Rinse off with lukewarm water and then pat dry with tissue paper or soft clean towel.

    Nutmeg-Lentil Scrub

    It is useful scrub that you can apply to do away with the unwanted blackheads. Pick two nutmegs and break their shells properly. Now use the inner layer of the shells into fine powder, using a mortar and pestle. Place this powder in a small mixing bowl and top with 3 teaspoons of ground orange lentil (powdered form). Pour in one ounce of water and blend to mix well and form a rich paste. Set it aside and rinse the affected area of your skin with lukewarm water. Lightly pat dry and then apply the nutmeg-lentil scrub in circular motion for just two minutes, using your fingertips. Rinse off the paste with cool water and pat dry softly.

    Nutmeg-Cinnamon Paste

    In a small mixing bowl, mix together two teaspoons of nutmeg powder and one teaspoon of cinnamon powder. Add in some water and continue stirring until it forms a paste with your desired consistency. Apply it all over the affected area of skin until all blackheads are covered and then leave it for the next 10 to 15 minutes or overnight. Once dry completely, wash off the paste with lightly warm water.
