How to Use Toner for Skin Care

To have a beautiful and soft skin, one must keep a regular routine of toning their skin, as it is an important part of people’s skin care regimen. You can find different types of toners available in the market with different benefits associated with them. Some toners will help in clearing your skin from oil and dirt, and giving it a fresh look. Others help in soothing the skin by restoring balance in skin’s pH. In the meantime, you will find some toners that will help in cleaning and moisturising your skin at the same time.

Skin care experts advise that one must try to use mild and alcohol-free toners. Harsh toners make the skin dry which causes the oil to come out of the pores frequently.

Facial toners give best results when they are incorporated with your skin care regimen. To get the best out of your toner, wash your face first. It will open up your pores and will remove the excessive oil, dirt and makeup, if any, on the skin. You can also use a cleanser in order to clean your face before applying toner on the skin.

Take a cotton ball and drop a small amount of toner on it. When you apply the toner on the cotton ball, make sure that you do not soak it excessively, as it will create wet lines on your face. In the meantime, you should take care of the fact that the cotton ball does not remain too dry, as if no toner is applied to it.

Now rub the cotton ball/pad gently in the form of circles and make sure you apply it to all parts of your face, except eyes. You should pay more attention towards applying the toner on your chin, nose and forehead, as they are facial parts that produce more oil compared to the other parts.
