1
Buy the jeans you want to wear
Look for a pair of jeans that you wish to wear. Make sure the jeans you get have a bit of Lycra material in them as it lets the clothing stretch to some extent. Select a size that is a size bigger than your regular size. This will help you grow while wearing the jeans for a while as you will most certainly gain weight in your thighs and butt as the time goes by.
Remember to put on the jeans the usual way for the opening months of the pregnancy. Just fold the top down so it sits on your butt, if the waist band is larger at the start. Wear the jeans in this fashion until you get to the middle to the end of your second trimester. -
2
Determine the waist band of the jeans
Remove off the top band of the clothing where the button hole and the button normally is. Measure the waist band of the jeans with help of a measuring ruler or tape. Buy a stretchable cotton fabric in a color similar to that of your jeans. After that, fold the piece of stretch cotton in half. -

Measure the fabric
Get a piece of fabric the exact same length as that of the waistband of the pants. This is if you want a very thick waistband which is around 3 inches or more. Put the cotton strip on the inside of the clothing, with the stretch cotton still wrapped in half, and do not forget to leave the zipper in its position. Furthermore, sew the cotton stretch waistband with a coarse thread like wire thread. Make sure you know the wire thread is not actually a wire. After that, sew a hook and eye closure below the stretch cotton and sew the zipper line.
