Acceptance Letters are meant to show your gratitude in response to a good message that you receive. And especially if it’s a gift you have received from someone; be it your boss, contemporary, friend or any other company giving funds to your organization, it is suggested to show your gratitude by sending them a gift acceptance letter. While you are writing a gift acceptance letter, show your thankfulness in the very opening sentence. The trick is to be keep a format gift acceptance letter as short and precise as well, without compromising on the content. Sender’s Information
The address and date of the sender should be written at the top left corner of the page. First write the sender's name followed by address and zip code, and other contact details like the telephone number and email address.

After the sender’s information comes the day on which the letter was written. This will be written after leaving a space of one line.

Salutation
After giving the recipient's information, start the salutation by writing Dear Mr/Mrs/Ms after a space of one line. -

Main Body
Start the main body of the letter with a note of gratitude and tell the reader that you have received the gift on such and such date.
If the letter is being written for official purposes and with a formal tone, then it should be concise and to the point and the language used should carry a formal undertone.
On the other hand, if it is being written to a friend or family member, you can discuss further details like how soon you will be planning to meet them etc. -

Closing
In case of a formal gift acceptance letter, reiterate your gratitude for the gift received and wish the company you're writing the letter to the best of luck, with the hope of making future partnerships with it a success (if necessary).
On the other hand, the sender can be a little informal in the closing of the letter if it is being sent to a family member or friend. But gratitude must again be reiterated.
The letter will then be ended with a 'Yours Sincerely,' 'Regards,' in case of formal letters, followed by the sender's name and signature. -
