The first step in making a finger wave is to wet your hair and keep them damp, because this hairstyle is created with wet hair. You will not be able to acquire waves in your hair until they are wet.

After making your hair wet use a good quality hair gel and apply it to the hair portion where you intend to start.

The initial wave should begin at least 1 inch from the scalp. Place your middle finger and the index finger across that portion of hair from where you are starting your hairstyling.

Make sure that there is space between both fingers.

Now you will take a comb and from the top side of the middle finger push the comb upwards so that a wave is formed. Follow the same procedure with an inch increment each time.

With this procedure a ridge will be formed.

Do not move the comb from its position and place the index finger along with the middle finger.

The ridge which has been formed should be pushed gently so that is remains in its position and its formation is not disturbed or ruined.

Now you will have to change the position of the comb, place it vertically. Comb the hair in such a manner that the curve stays in its form.
