Japanese Salad Dressing Recipe
Making a dressing for a Japanese salad is perhaps the easiest thing on earth. However, make sure that as soon as you make it, serve the dressing at once or if you want to keep it for future use, refrigerate the dressing in an airtight container for not more than five days. Before using it, shake or just stir it well.
Ingredients for a Japanese salad dressing are not hard to find as well. All you need to have is two tablespoons of minced fresh ginger root, one tablespoon of white sugar, 1/3 cup minced onion, one tablespoon of any kind of ketchup, ¼ cup minced celery, ¼ teaspoon of ground black pepper, ¼ cup of low-sodium soy sauce, ½ cup of vegetable oil and ½ juiced lime. You can also replace vegetable oil with olive oil if you want to but the nutrition that you get from this will be very healthy for sure. Furthermore, it’s not really a complicated dish as it takes just 15 minutes of preparation time and will be ready in 15 minutes. Now that you have all your ingredients in proper place, it’s time to roll up your sleeves and start putting it all together.
First, pulse onion, ginger and celery in a food processor until these three are perfectly combined. -

Then, scrape down sides of food processor with a spatula.

Add lime juice, soy sauce, sugar, ketchup and pepper. Process these ingredients for about 20 seconds until they combine.

Then, stream oil in a thin stream into the mixture with the processor still running. Keep processing until it blends well.
