    Subject: Job Application Inquiry

    Respected Sir,

I am writing this email to inquire about the application I sent for the post of the Marketing Manager at your organization. The job posting on your company’s website required management experience of 5 years and a Masters degree in Marketing from a reputed University.

I had sent my application by mail on April 10th, 2012, and have not received any response from your Human Resource department regarding the application. I am willing to provide any further information which may be required by your company.

The basic purpose of writing this email is to know when the Human Resource department will be short listing the candidates for the job or when the decision will be made. The decision was expected within two weeks of the application submission but it has already been a week overdue. I wanted to let you know that I am extremely interested in the post as the company has a great repute in the corporate world.

I am looking forward to a positive reply from your company in the next few days.

    Yours sincerely,
    Gordon Smith
