Dear Mr, Watson
I applied for the job vacancy advertised in the local newspaper. However, I have not received any response. The reason why I am sending this email is to check the status of my job application that was submitted along with a covering letter and CV on August 27, 2012. I was advised that I would be notified about the status of my application by the end of October but unfortunately that did not turn out to be the case. Right now, I am still waiting to find out if my application has been accepted or rejected.
I would also like to request you to inform me about the provisional dates of the interview. It will be very kind of you if you can also inform me about the dates of the selection procedures.
I will be looking forward to learn about the progress of my application and I hope to provide you with my skills at your esteemed organisation in the future. If you want to know more about my qualification and professional experience, please do not hesitate to contact me at 5555-555 or michaelwills@xyz.net.
Sincerely,
Michael Wills -
