Lambeth North Tube station, which is located on the Bakerloo Line, began its service when it was opened in 1906. The station had a quite life until it became part of national headlines, when a German bomb hit the nearby hostel on 16 January 1941, which also caused a severe damage to the station. As a result, traffic to the Lamberth North tube station was impeded and it took authorities nearly 95 days after the incident to resume services. The next major renovation work of the station took place between 1996 and 1997. During this time many amenities and facilities were also added to underground stop. At present Lambeth North tube station has lifts, gates and pay phones. Furthermore, access to these facilities and ticket halls is from street level on Westminster Bridge Road, the same gates are also used to exit the structure.
