History:
The first festival was first held in 2004 and was called London Festival of Architecture Biennale (LAB). The festival had a number of events taking place in Clerkenwell area. Clerkenwell is a hub of activity for a large number of architects in UK, and Biennale was considered as an event specific to the local visitors. LAB was later launched as a festival that could be compared to Venice Biennale, where architects from all around the world come together. However, the event has very little connection to that community or city. The London Biennale was developed to include designs of historic significance and present day elegance. Ever since its commencement, the London festival of Architecture has been celebrated a number of times. The festival takes place in London and has been attended by large number of people over the past eight years. -
