Lovebox Weekender Festival in London
The Lovebox festival is a weekend music event that takes place in the Heart of London. With Victoria Parks as its setting, Lovebox attracts some big names from the music industry. The event is an integral part of the calendar for the East End of London, making the Lovebox Weekender a cutting edge festival that influences and showcases the trends coming out of the fashionable and artistic neighborhoods of London. The open air Lovebox is currently celebrating a decade of its existance and is ready to rock participants. Bands and artistis performing at the event come from a wide range of genre including Indie Rock, Electronic/Dance and Hip Hop / R&B.

History
10 years ago, it was decided that there is a need to throw a great party with lots of fun, music and dance, so Love box came into being in 2002. The first summer festival was done in 2003 at Clapham Common for one day. By 2005, the festival had been extended to two days and moved to Victoria Park. This time more different types of musical acts and genres have been added along with more stages. In 2010, the Lovebox festival is expanded to three days and people pack the festival to the brim. -

Activities
The music is the center piece of the festival and numerous different and innovative stages are set up for the event, including the Main Stage and the Gaymers Stage. There is also a Gaymers Cider and Music Bar which have a rooftop party. Other stages are named; the Relentless Energy Drink arena, The Stockade and The Bacardi Get Together. Finally there is the NYC Downlow, which looks like a New York City building. Other than the music, the festival has Fringe Street which displays art and other entertainment. The food and drink stalls can also be found all over the festival grounds to keep fans happy. -

How to get there
By Tube
The closest tube stop is the Mile End station. After getting off at the stop, head south west on Mile end. Make a right onto Grove and keep going towards the park. When you reach the roundabout, take the second exit to get to the festival. View Map.
By Bus
There is a bus stop with the park called Victoria Park (Stop GA). You can use bus numbers 277 and 425 to get there. This will drop you right in front of the festival grounds. View Map.
