History of Madame Tussaud Wax Museum:

Although the Madame Tussaud Museum in London was established in later part of 19th century, the origin dates back in early 19th century when the famous French wax artist Marie Tussaud came to England and couldn’t get back to France due to Napoleonic Wars. She exhibited her work in London in early 1820s and by 1835 she was able to establish the Wax Museum. Later, due to the increasing costs and limited space the museum was moved to Marylebone Road in 1883 by Marie’s grandson. The museum underwent a great development and now it has various branches across the world mainly Amsterdam, Bangkok, Berlin, Blackpool, Dubai, Hollywood, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Las Vegas, New York City, Shanghai, Sydney, Vienna and Washington, D.C.
