Monument tube station became operational in 1884 in the City of London, and was linked with The Bank Tube station as an interchange in 1933. The station’s name was adopted from Monument of the Great Fire of London. And its complex makes it the eighth busiest tube station on the London Underground network. The station has an entrance on The Bank of England, right at the Bank Junction.
