Currently situated in London borough of Merton in the southern part of British capital, Morden tube station is a last station on the Northern Line. When the station was built in 1926, the Morden was a far away village from Central London but as the population increased in Morden, station became busy due to which a major construction was carried out in 1960. New office, shops and a number of facilities such as payphone, lifts, payphones, car parking and ticket halls were provided. With this improvement, station became suitable for more than 7 million commuters, who travel through it in a single year. Now, it provides entrance and exit both from the same London Road.
