Nirvana Cocktail Recipe
If you have ever been to India or have knowledge of the Indian culture and various religions prevalent in it, the name of Nirvana must not be alien to you. In simple words, Nirvana is the central concept in Indian religions which is referred to a state of tranquility and being oblivious to any kind of suffering. Apart from the religious acquaintance, those who are fond of pop music must have heard of the famous Nirvana Band having the singer/guitarist Kurt Cobain and bassist Krist Novoselic. Before you think you opened up the wrong page, this article talks about one of the best cocktails known as the Nirvana Cocktail. It is considered as an Iced Tea Cocktail that is usually served before dinner. It does not take you more than 2 minutes to prepare if you have the required ingredients.

Utensils: Mixing Glass, Chilled Cocktail Glass, Cocktail Shaker or Stirrer
Ingredients:
– (2 measures) Dark rum
– (½ measure )Grenadine
– (½ measure )Tamarind Syrup
– (1 tea spoon) Sugar Syrup
– Cracked or crushed ice
– Juice of Grapefruit
– 2 or more Raspberries for decoration – optional

The Cocktail Glass
If you have prepared a cocktail before, then you must be familiar that the first thing you do is allow the cocktail glass to chill. Put the glass inside the freezer for about an hour before using it. -

Mixing the Ingredients
Put all the ingredients together in a mixing glass including grenadine, tamarind syrup and sugar - except for the grapefruit juice - and stir for about 35 seconds. -

Shifting rum into Cocktail Glass
Bring the cocktail glass out of the freezer and put some crushed ice in it. After that, transfer the rum from the mixing glass and again shake and stir for some time. -

The grapefruit topping
Do not forget that you have to add a grapefruit as the topping of your cocktail. To have the cocktail ready, pour the grapefruit juice over the above prepared rum but do not mix this time. -

The final touch
You may be surprised that the cocktail is still not ready for serving. Put the raspberries on top of the cocktail as a final touch before serving.
