Northern Tube Line in London
Northern Line is the busiest line on the London Underground network, as it serves highest number of passengers (206,734,000 commuters per year) in comparison to any other line. This is because Northern Line has further branches which make it quite extensive and crammed. Furthermore, another interesting fact about Northern Line is that, unlike its name this line does not serves most of the north side stations of the London Underground network. However, it does serve most of the south side stations because it caters 16 out of 29 stations in the south of the River Thames, for further details regarding time table and names of the tube stations on Northern Line follow this step by step guide.

History of Northern Line
The centre of the Northern Line was developed by two railway companies Charing Cross, Euston & Hampstead Railway and the City & South London Railway almost a century ago. This construction plan further gave birth to two northern and two central branches plus a southern one. The construction plans for these branches were carried out on such a large scale that three separate railway companies needed to work together in order to start the southern branch of Northern Line between the 1920s and 1930s, an additional track was also added to new stations named Morden and Edgware.
