Paradise Cocktail Recipe
Aptly named, a Paradise cocktail has the ability to transport drinkers into a heavenly realm. A delightful aperitif which is bound to stimulate even the weakest of appetites, the Paradise cocktail is made of the ambrosial flavours of orange and apricot, and strengthened by the addition of gin. Characterised by classic, sweet, and fruity flavours, this cocktail is an ideal choice for summer afternoons and evening parties. While the drink has spawned many variations, such as the Paradise Shooter, the original remains a favourite. In addition to the heavenly taste, the drink is quick and simple to make, containing just three ingredients, and requiring only 4 minutes for preparation.

Utensils: Cocktail shaker/electric blender, cocktail glass, strainer
Ingredients:
– 0.125 oz gin
– 0.5 oz apricot brandy
– 1 oz orange juice
– Orange wedge for garnishing
– Crushed ice according to your requirement

Ideally, the Paradise cocktail should be whipped up in a cocktail shaker. However, if you do not own one, or are unable to obtain one, an electric blender will also work fine – just make sure you do not blend on too high a speed, or for too long, as the drink should be smooth and clear, not frothy and cloudy.

Start by placing your cocktail serving glass in the refrigerator to chill it. Then, pack your cocktail shaker or electric blender with crushed ice.

Now, one by one, add all the ingredients into the cocktail shaker or electric blender - 0.125 oz gin, 0.5 oz apricot brandy, and 1 oz orange juice.

Shake the cocktail shaker for around 15 seconds, in order to mix the ingredients and make sure all the flavours are properly combined. If you are using an electric blender, simply blend the ingredients on slow speed for 8 seconds at most.

Once the cocktail has been blended to perfection, take the chilled cocktail glass out of the refrigerator, hold a strainer above it, and then proceed to pour your Paradise cocktail into the glass. Finish by garnishing the glass with a fresh orange wedge. Your Paradise cocktail is now ready – serve chilled.
