Prisons and Probation Ombudsman London
Prisons and Probation Ombudsman is an independent body that investigates the complaints or deaths of prisoners in prisons, immigration cells or in probation centres. After receiving a complaint, the Ombudsman office first checks whether or not the complaint was lodged with the internal complaints department of the prison. Then the office ensures the eligibility of the complaint. After this the complaint is handed over to one of the teams to ivestigate the matter. If the complaint is upheld then recommendations are forwarded to the organization and written proof is demanded from it to implement the complaint.
