Procedure for Applying Chile Tourist Visit Visa from Ottawa

    Visa Application Form

    Getting visa application form is the first step to obtain visa. You can download the visa application form from the link given below. You can also get this form from the consular section of the Chile embassy in Ottawa.

    Visa Requirements

    After filling up the application form, attach the following documents with your application.

    a) Two passport sized photographs in light colour background,

    b) Visa fee should be paid by a Money Order,

    c) Passport that should be valid for six months,

    d) Bank Statement,

    e) Travel documents,

    f) Prepaid, stamped, self-addressed envelope.

    Requirements are subjected to changes made by the embassy so a confirmation from them prior to sending the application is advised.

    Visa Fee

    Visa fee depends on the nationality that the applicant holds. However, all visa fees should be paid either by certified cheques, or money orders made payable to the "Embassy of Chile".

    Submission of Application

    The application should be submitted either in person or through a postal service. If you choose to send you application by a postal service, then a prepaid, self-addressed, stamped return envelope should be attached with it. Moreover, it should only be sent via registered mail services only.

    Processing Time and Collection fo Visa

    Your application will take up to five working days before the issuance of your visa. However, time may vary according to each application and the documents that are required. Once issuance of the visa has been confirmed by the embassy, it can be collected from the consular section. The visa can also be delivered if the documents were originally sent by you through a postal service.
