    Visa from Port


    Canadian citizens and residents may get a tourist visit visa on entry to Nepal from any of the following ports:


    (a) Tribhuvan International Airport
    (b) Kathmandu
    (c) Biratnagar
    (d) Birgunj
    (e) Bhairahawa
    (f) Kakarbhitta
    (g) Nepal India Border
    (h) Nepal China border


    You should have the below mentioned documents with you in order to get a entry permit from any of these points.

    Requirements


    After filling your application form, you need to attach the following documents with your application form:


    (a) Completed Application form duly signed by the applicant.
    (b) Passport valid for at least six months on the time of application.
    (c) Twp passport size photograph in light colour background.
    (d) Bank Statement.
    (e) Return Ticket if travelling through air.
    (f) If you are travelling with more than 2,000.00 USD or equivalent amount in any other currency, need to declare it in the Custom Declaration Form at the time of Arrival in Nepal.

    Visa Fee


    Visa Fee is as given below.


    Multiple Entry for 15 days: CAD $30.00
    Multiple Entry for 30 days: CAD $45.00
    Multiple Entry for 90 days: CAD $110.00


    Visa Fee can be paid in cash or by Money Order in the Name of “embassy of Nepal, Canada. If there is more than one applicant then you can make a single Money Order.

    Submission of Application


    Applications can be sent in person or by postal service. If you are sending the applications by postal service, you need to send prepaid, self-addressed, stamped delivery envelope to receive your visa. In case of in person, you need to visit the Embassy’s Visa section between 9:00 to 13:30 from Monday to Friday.

    Processing Time


    All applications take five working days from the date of receipt. In case of postal applications, you may have to wait more because of the time taken by the postal services.

    Collect Visa


    If you submit your visa in person, you need to collect it by visiting the visa section of the Embassy of Nepal in Ottawa. You can collect your visa from 9:00 to 13:30 from Monday to Friday.


    If you submit an application by postal service, your visa and original documents will be sent back to you in a prepaid, stamped, self-addressed postal envelope.

    Final Check List


    You should check the following before sending your application:


    a) Application is completed and signed by applicant on the designated place,
    b) Passport is valid for at least six months and have at least one blank page,
    c) Visa fee is attached,
    d) Photographs are attached on the application form,
    e) Return Ticket it attached,
    f) Proof of hotel booking is attached,
    g) Stamped, prepaid, self-addressed postal return envelope is attached.

    Things Allowed and Precautions


    You should confirm from the Embassy that what is allowed to take as a tourist in Nepal. You should have your passport with you all the time during your visit to the Nepal. You should cooperate with the Immigration authorities. In case of emergency in Nepal, you should contact the nearest Office of your home country.
