Ratatouille Chinese Style Recipe

Chinese Ratatouille – the French dish in a Chinese style!

Ratatouille is a very famous dish from French cuisine and it comes in many different variations, but the main ingredients remain the same. The main ingredients in this dish are tomatoes, garlic, aborigine and onions. Usually served as a side dish, it is also served alone especially when the main intent is to keep your inches!

This is a quick dish but be careful not to leave out its real taste!

Now we will see how ratatouille will be prepared with a soft Chinese touch in it, but before that check out the things you will need, the time it takes and the number of persons it will serve!

Preparation Time: 5 to 20 minutes
Cooking Time: 5 – 10 minutes
Serving Size: 4 to 5 persons
Utensils: Frying Pan, Chopping Board, Chopping Knife, Salad Serving Platter, Serving Spoon

Ingredients:

– ½ cup Olive Oil
– ¼ cup Onion (finally chopped)
– ¼ cup Leeks (finally chopped)
– ¼ cup Ginger (finally chopped)
– ¼ cup Chinese Eggplant (finally chopped into cubes)
– ¼ cup Mo Qua (finally chopped into cubes)
– 2 cups Tomatoes (finally chopped)
– Coriander Leaves
– ½ cup Garlic (finally chopped)
– ½ cup Chicken Stock
– Salt (to taste)
– Sugar (to taste)

Instructions

    Heat oil in a frying pan for few minutes and keep the flame on medium heat. After the oil is hot enough, lower down the flame and start adding the chopped onions, ginger, egg plant, garlic and mo qua, and stir fry for a while.

    After the veggies are a little fried, start adding some more ingredients including leeks, the tomatoes that you have just chopped along with the chicken stock that you have already prepared. As you fry, season with salt and sugar to taste.

    After about half a minute take it out in a serving platter. Sprinkle coriander leaves and serve hot along with rice or pita bread.
