Recommendation Letter for College Admission
A recommendation letter is a very common letter often requested by people from their former organisations or institutions to vouch for them as they proceed in their education or career. The most common use of recommendation letters is by students who request their former teachers to write some words of appreciation or to verify their achievements in order for them to take admission in more prestigious educational institutions. The writer of this recommendation letter must be able to highlight the student in a positive manner. He should be able to justify that the said student achieved a certain goal under their supervision. A sample letter and template has provided below.

To whom it may concern:
This is to inform you that I have had the pleasure of teaching Mellissa Heathers for three years. There is no doubt that she is a great student. Besides excelling in academics, she has also upheld the disciplinary code of conduct of our school. We have never had any complaint against her; either from her fellow students or higher authorities. She will prove to be a great asset for your school.
She has the ability to comprehend difficult subjects along with a determination to learn. She has also shown a capacity for participating in extra-curricular activities. For the three years she was under my supervision, I have seen her excel in English debates. She has brought a number of laurels to our school which has been frequently mentioned in our school newsletter.
She is reasonably popular in among the students of our schools. She has the ability to make her presence known in a positive way. We also recommended her for a school programme that required interaction between junior and senior students but due to the immense dedication to the academic subjects in her final year, she could not participate but I’m sure she would have done great.
I highly recommend you to take her as a part of your college. You will never regret it. I assure you that she is capable enough to carry on with the subjects you are offering her.
Regards
