Respected ma’am,
Unfortunately, I will need to take leave from college for two days due to an ankle injury.
It happened yesterday while playing football and the doctor has advised me a two-day rest.
The good news is that the injury is not serious and I will completely recover soon.
During my absence, I have asked Jane, my classmate, to copy her notes for me, so I won't be missing any lectures.
I am looking forward to your approval.
Yours Sincerely,
David Beckman

Respected sir,
Due to some family commitments my parents have to visit my grandmother in Alabama. They cannot leave me back home alone, which is why I need to request a leave from 5th of March 2011 till 7th of March 2011.
If you approve, I will come tomorrow and collect a few home assignments from the school, so that the leave does not affect my studies.
Yours Sincerely,
Drew Barrymore

Respected Ma’am
I am writing this letter to formally seek permission for a two-day leave. As I informed you earlier, I suffered from an ankle injury while playing football today, and according to the doctor, I need to rest for two days to allow it to recover.
Hence, I will not be able to attend school from (leave dates). Meanwhile, Jack will be copying lecture notes for me, so I don't miss out on anything.
I will be grateful for your consideration, and look forward to a reply.
Yours Sincerely
