Scotland Office London

The Scotland Office is a department of the United Kingdom government that is chaired by the Secretary of State for Scotland. The chief role of this office is to handle the Scottish affairs in this region. This is a separate body within the Ministry of Justice that handles everyday issues between Holyrood and Westminster. In brief, the Secretary of State described the work of this department as ‘oiling the wheels of devolution’. Due to this nature of work, the Scotland Office remain quite active when it comes to close communication with all Whitehall Departments in order to protect and promote the devolution settlement.
