Stabilisation Unit London

The Stabilisation Unit is an inter-departmental agency of Government of the United Kingdom that is jointly owned by three different departments. These departments are Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO), Department for International Development (DFID) and Ministry of Defence (MOD). Under the supervision of these three departments, the Stablisation Unit works to support fragile countries or states around the globe which are trying to come out of various conflicts. It also works where close collaboration among the military, international agencies and civilian workers is necessarily required. This unit was formed back in 2007, as it replaced the former Post-Conflict Reconstruction Unit that also used to serve similar functions.
