Stamford Brook Tube Station London
Connecting Turnham Green with Ravenscourt Park Station and lying in the territory of Chiswick borough, the Stamford Brook tube station was started on 1 February 1912. Precisely speaking, it runs on District line, which was laid way back in 1869. At first, this line was utilized by a number of services including Metropolitan District Railway, Great Western Railway and then by the Metropolitan Railway. And after its inauguration, the station was controlled by the London and South Western Railway but with alteration in the tube system, it came under the control of London Underground. Now, it has two entrances, one on the Goldhawk while the other on Prebend Gardens road. As it serves about 2.43 million passengers annually, it provides many facilities such as payphones, a bridge, a waiting room and toilets.
