Stonebridge Park is of those stations that are served by both London Underground and London Overground services. In addition to this, both these services use the same platform of Stonebridge Park tube station. This station was built in 1912, when the London and North Western Railway was working on extension of the line. However, no one would have even imagined at its inauguration that this station would suffer massive destruction as a result of bombing during World War 2 after three decades of its construction. When things settled downed, London, Midland and Scottish Railway started rebuilding it and a lot of new things were introduced in it. Nevertheless, the booking hall of this station, which is at ground level, appears to be of the initial construction. At present, passengers who use this station make way into this historic building through North Circular Road and use the same passage to exit from this station.
