Strawberry Avocado Salad Recipe

Cool off on the dog days of summer with the refreshing and healthy Strawberry Avocado Salad. The avocado slices add a nutty taste the strawberries and the vinegar-honey dressing prolongs the overall zest in your mouth. This simple and easy to make Strawberry Avocado Salad Recipe has the taste and capability to become one of your favorite light dishes or meals. Salad’s Ingredients:

– 2 cups torn salad greens       – baby greens, or mesclun etc are also preferred
– 1 avocado – peeled, pitted and sliced
– 10 strawberries – finely  sliced
– ½  cup chopped pecans

Dressing’s Ingredients

– 2 tablespoons sugar
– 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
– 4 teaspoons honey
– 1 tablespoon cider vinegar
– 1 teaspoon lemon juice

    Prepare the honey-vinegar dressing

    First of all make the honey-vinegar dressing and leave it for some time to marinate until you prepare the other ingredients. Take a medium bowl and pour in 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil, 4 teaspoons of pure honey, 1 tablespoon of cider vinegar and 1 teaspoon of freshly extracted lemon juice. Moreover, add in 2 tablespoons of sugar. Take a medium spoon, fork or whisk and beat all the dressing ingredients until mix well and forms a rich dressing. Set the dressing’s bowl aside to marinate thoroughly.

    Prepare the salad

    Pick a large salad or serving bowl and place the torn salad greens in it.  Top with strawberry and avocado slices.

    Pour in Vinegar-honey dressing

    Drizzle the vinegar-honey dressing all over the salad and toss gently to coat the ingredients.

    Serve

    Sprinkle the finely chopped pecans all over the salad and serve. Otherwise, if you like this salad chill, then simply refrigerate up to 1 or 2 hours before serving.
