Now take the turkey and carefully remove its neck and giblets. Thoroughly rinse the turkey and use dry paper towels to dry pat it. Now place the turkey in such a way that the breast side is up. Fill the body cavity with stuffing very loosely and use softened butter and seasoned salt to rub the skin of the turkey.

Now take out aluminum foil and tent it over the turkey before placing the turkey in the oven. Once you have placed the turkey in the oven, pour into the bottom of the roasting pan, 2 cups of turkey stock. With the juices on the bottom of the pan base all over for around half an hour.

Wait for the dripping to evaporate and in order to moisten them, add stock about 1 to 2 cups at a time. After 2 1/2 hours, remove the aluminium foil. Keep on reading the thermometer that you inserted in the meaty part of the thigh earlier. Let it roast until the thermometer reads 180 degrees F. It will take around 4 hours but you need to be patient in that time and you can do other stuff in the mean time like setting the table. But make sure that you keep checking on the turkey and do not let it over cook.
