    History

The Jewish Museum is the only minority museum in London and it was founded by joint efforts of Professor Cecil Roth, Alfred Rubens and Wilfred Samuel in 1932. It was initially housed in Bloomsbury but later in 1994, it was moved to early Victorian building in Camden Town. In 1995, the Jewish Museum and Museum of the Jewish East End were merge - until 2007 both of these museums ran on their own spaces. After that a huge grant was used to build a new joint building in Camden Town and the new museum was opened on 17th of March 2010.
