Between Sao Conrado and Barra da Tijuca, Pedra da Gavea is located which stands tall as a famous attraction for the tourists. Pedra da Gavea is a granite rock that is about 842 meters above sea level. It was originally used as a lookout for shits, but now is famous amongst the rock climbers.

The Monumento nacional aos Mortos II da Guerra Mundial which is located at the Avenida Infante Dom Henrique is a dedicated to those brave soldiers who lost their lives in the World War 2. It is basically a small mausoleum which is guarded by all three forces of Brazil. The entry to the place is free.
