Whitehall Palace London
The Palace of Whitehall was one of the largest royal constructions in the history of not only United Kingdom, but of entire Europe. This can be imagined from the fact that the area of Palace of Whitehall was equal to a small town, as it has about 1500 rooms and various other recreational facilities in it. However, after most of its parts were burnt down, now very few parts of this building are left behind and one of them is the famous Banqueting House. The other parts of this former Royal Residence that were incorporated into the new construction include a tower and tennis courts from King Henry VIII’s era. These are now parts of the Cabinet Office and Old Treasury in London.
