World Naked Bike Ride in London
The World Naked Bike Ride (WNBR) in London is an intercontinental clothing-optional bike ride event that takes places in summers usually. During this event participant assemble at a point and then ride together as a human-powered transport. Most of these participants are on bicycles, but some can be found on inline skates and on skateboards as well. The motto of dress code is “bare as you dare”. Organizers of this event encourage partial and full nudity, but it is not obligatory for all rides. In addition to this body paintings, bike art, costumes and portable music player or music instruments are also allowed in order to make this event full of fun and grab the attention of general public. The objectives of the WNBR are to acquire rights for cyclists, protest against worldwide dependency on oil, car culture and celebrate body freedom. The entry to this event is free of cost, plus no age limits are mentioned therefore all folks are welcome to partake in this event.

History:
The World Naked Bike Ride is taking place for eight years now, as it was first held in 2004. During the first ever event back about 60 riders took part and rode inside Hyde Park for 30 minutes. It really fascinated the public present at the first event that several cyclists impulsively joined the ride. From there on wards every time the World Naked Bike Ride took place in London it saw a massive increase in number of participants. They touched the 1000 mark in 2007 and 1200 in 2009.

Activities:
The World Naked Bike Ride in London starts at 3:30pm in the afternoon, after riders get together at the south-east corner of the Hyde Park. People on bicycles, skate boards and skates went through different streets of the British capital during this 9 mile journey. Different stalls are setup during this event and riders also help the cause by leafleting. In this way the participants of this rally register their protest against car culture and global dependence on oil.
